ABSTRACT
 
We investigate kinetic transport equations, particle simulation schemes, and mathematical links connecting these two concepts. These arise mainly from mathematical measure theory and from stochastic limit theorems. In details, we consider convergence proofs for simulation schemes, fluid-dynamic limits for linear and non-linear transport equations and applications in modern research areas.
