ABSTRACT
 
Several rigorous results concerning noncommutative limit theorems for independent and weakly correlated quantum observables are reviewed. They provide universal models of fluctuations and noise in quantum systems. In particular limit theorems leading to quantum stochastic differential equations are discussed.
