ABSTRACT

A series of 8-cyanopyridothieno-1,2,3-triazines, pyrazolo pyrimidines, isoxazolopyrimidines, and pyridothieno-1,2,3-ditriazines were synthesized and evaluated as nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2 inhibitors. Their anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-angiogenesis effects have been studied. Some compounds can offer a therapeutic potential for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases with an angiogenic component, such as rheumatoid arthritis.
