ABSTRACT

The study examines sputum samples infected with Ps. aeruginosa and the sensitivity of the isolated bacteria to antibiotics. The data showed that the sensitivity of organisms isolated at different medical centers varied when assessed against the same antibiotics. The data indicates the importance of considering region-specific and even healthcare institution-specific patterns of hospital-isolated microorganisms to different antibiotics, and that such considerations should inform regional medical practice.
