ABSTRACT A new method- polarized photoacoustic spectroscopy is described and several applications of this method to the investigation of process occurring in photosynthesis are given. The information concerning excitation energy transfer, yield of fluorescence, photochemical reaction, and the structure and function of the biological system which could be obtained using the new method are also described. Examples of the application of photoacoustic spectroscopy to photosynthetic samples are also given.
