ABSTRACT

The optimization of experimental conditions in high-performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection (HPLC-ECD) is performed with the relative standard deviation (RSD) of measurements as a criterion. The RSD is estimated by the FUMI theory (Function of Mutual Information) without the replications of real samples. The optimization presented here can be carried out efficiently and reasonably compared to the conventional optimization methods.
