ABSTRACT

Cyclometallated compounds of transition metals with multidentate ligands are described. The compounds, which are mono- or multinuclear, show bonding to the metal center via a σM-C bond and through various coordinative bonds by means of two or more appropriate donor atoms, giving complexes with several metallated rings at the metal. Some important applications of the complexes are also described.
