During the last decade we have studied intramolecular electronic energy transfer (Intra-EET) in specially designed bichromophoric molecules. In the first phase of our studies the mechanism of short range Intra-EET in solution was established. Next we have examined Intra-EET in supersonic jets. In this review we discuss progress made in applying supersonic jet spectroscopy to problems of Intra-EET. We describe Intra-EET both in bichromophóric hetero-clusters and bichromophoric molecules. As a special case recent results obtained for the naphthalene-anthracene system are presented.
