ABSTRACT

Assembly of functional molecules using Langmuir-Blodgett technique is developing greatly for its own unique characteristics. A variety of the compounds have been used as film-forming candidates to explore the effects of molecular structures and novel functions. Three kinds of functional materials were chosen in our laboratory to study their monolayer and multilayer properties. This paper exhibits a short introduction to these researches on rare earth complexes luminescent materials, liquid crystalline polymers and macro-cycle molecules.
