ABSTRACT

Preparation of porous copolymers of maleic anhydride and divinylbenzene by suspension polymerization is presented. Polymeric samples were prepared in two polymerization media: water and glycerol. Two representative copolymers were used as stationary phases in gas chromatography. In order to determine an influence of polymerization medium on their chemical nature three procedures: the selectivity triangle, the general selectivity and the ΔC method, were used. Additionally their porous structures were also studied.
