ABSTRACT This review article is devoted to the effect of the sulphide group (strictly: alkylthio group) on the radical photopolymerization of multifunctional (meth)acrylates, including temperature behavior, oxygen consumption, initiation and termination mechanisms as well as side reactions, e.g. chain-transfer, re-initiation or degradation. Both sulfur-containing additives as well as sulfur-containing monomers are considered.
