ABSTRACT

Several lines of evidence indicate that amyloid β (Aβ), particularly Aβ oligomers, plays a causative role in Alzheimer’s disease. Protective molecules targeting Aβ oligomers which can modulate its conformational assembly, clearance, or oxidative damage can be used for intervention therapy.  From this point of view, we review the therapeutic strategy, with special emphasis on the use of protective molecules for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
