ABSTRACT The anodic oxidation of aromatic compounds possessing in their structure ether and polyether functions leads to organic materials endowed with specific properties. In particular, the present chapter describes the formation of organic polymers with polyether cavities, the experimental conditions necessary to the obtainment of such materials, the mode of dedoping by chemical and electrochemical reagents, the use of those resins as membrane and ionophoric materials specifically devoted to the extraction of inorganic cations, from aqueous and organic solutions especially at extremely low concentrations.
