ABSTRACT Two new anthraquinone glycosides, emodin-6-O-arabinopyranoside-3’,4’-diacetate and emodin-6-O-arabinopyranoside-2’,3’,4’-triacetate, were isolated from extracts of Rhamnus alaternus ripe fruits. Their structures were characterized on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence including two-dimensional RMN experiments and mass spectrometric techniques.
