ABSTRACT
 
A  mild  method  for the deprotection of thioacetyl  is described. Selective deprotection of –SAc in N, S-bis  acylated cysteinyl amides using LiOH/MeOH/THF/H2O at 10oC for 20-30 min afforded N-acetylated cysteinyl amides.
