ABSTRACT

“Tailor-made” 1,3-dipolar synthetic equivalents are prepared from ketene dithioacetals and their aza analogs, which are activated by the treatment of fluoride ion to react with active alkenes and heterodipolarophiles to give N- or S-containing heterocycles, via 1,3-dipolar [3+2] cycloaddition.
